AB Closed and Reserves March 18-20
The Edmonton Chess Club will host the 2022 AB Closed and Reserves. For the Closed, it was by qualifying or invitation only. For the Reserves, the details will be posted on the ECC Facebook page. Organized by Rafael Arruebarrena and the TD is Mike Zeggelaar.

CFC membership is required and may be purchased on site. Annual membership is $43 for adults, $28 for juniors.
CFC tournament membership is $21 for adults, $11 for juniors.

Entry Fee: $40 . Free entry for GM/IM/FM title holders.

Byes: A maximum of two half-point byes available in rounds 1-4 if requested before the start of round 1.

Canmore Chess Club

Our chess meetup tonight was successful, we had players ages 7 to 39 showed up at the community area at Elevation Place. We also had a surprise beverages from Starbucks Canmore. We did couple of informal round-robins and it was fun. Thanks to all the chess players who showed up tonight.

ACA Tiebreak Procedure
For tournaments that require a tiebreak, they may use the one suggested by the ACA technical committee and passed by the ACA Board. It is the can be found on the Home Page – About Us – 2nd link on the right. A tournament may post beforehand their own tiebreak procedures such as an Armageddon finish which would take precedence over the suggested ACA tiebreak.
