Entries are now open for the 2022 AB Youth Championship in Edmonton. The winner in each section will receive a $1000 travel grant to go to the CYCC to be held in Hamilton. So far 33 advanced entries, including FM Dale Haessel. This years tournament looks like it will be a big success. Dustin Koperski was recruited at the TD. CFC membership is required and may be purchased on site. Annual membership is $43 for adults, $28 for juniors. 
CFC tournament membership is $21 for adults, $11 for juniors.

Time Control: Game in 90 minutes + 30 seconds/move. A 30-minute break between games is guaranteed. Default late time is 60 minutes.

Registration: Please pre-register below.  Due to seating capacity with maximum of 2 boards per table, entries will be limited to the first 36 people to register.  Any entries beyond 36 will be on a waiting list.

Pre-registered players must pay the entry fee by 9:45 am on Saturday, March 19, or they won’t be paired.

Entry Fee:  $40 .  Free entry for GM/IM/FM title holders.

Prizes: Sum of entry fees minus ACA dues of $10 per player

Byes: A maximum of two half-point byes available in rounds 1-4 if requested before the start of round 1.
