2025 WBX Team Tournament Results

Congratulations to the winners of the WBX Team Tournament: the team led by Belsar Valencia, with contributions from Joseph Young, Alvin Guevarra, Mark Tuvera, and Jeff Anthony De Guzman, scored 10/15 tournament points to finish first. Second place was shared at 9.5/10 by the teams Jonathan Wu, Matthew Ivanescu, Raphael Lee & Dale Haessel, Roy Yearwood, Matthew Atwood.

Amir Bahmani had the best individual performance, scoring 4.5/5 on board one, ahead of Valencia and Tymur Keleberda at 4/5. Yearwood, Lee, Terance Somadasa, and Nikolai Nikolov also scored 4/5 on boards two and three.

Big thanks to Terry Seehagen and Dustin Koperski for running the event. See everyone in 2026!

2025 Southern Alberta Open Results

Congratulations to Southern Alberta Open Champion Omid Malek. Malek won on tiebreak over Sigfrido Pacheco-Vega, at scores of 4.5/5. Third place went to Roy Yearwood at 4/5.

Well done also to the winners of the U1600 section: Ramon Mitra finished first with 4.5/5. Audvik Verma and Sean Kuehl shared second at 4/5.

In total, 51 players participated. Thanks to the CCC for organizing the event.
