Eligibility: Alberta residents who will have reached the age of 50 by December 31, 2022

Tournament format:
 5-round Open Swiss, CFC & FIDE rated.
CFC membership is required and may be purchased on site. Annual membership is $43, tournament membership is $21.

Time Control: Game in 90 minutes + 30 seconds/move.

Schedule
Saturday 
On-site registration: 9:15 am – 9:45 am
Rounds 1-3: 10 am, 2 pm, 6 pm
Sunday
Rounds 4-5: 10 am, 2 pm or ASAP
Default late time is 60 minutes. A 30-minute break between games is guaranteed.

Registration: Fill out the form below. Payment will be made on site by cash. Pre-registered players must come by 9:45 am on Saturday or they won’t be paired.

Entry Fee: $30 if registered online before noon, October 27, $35 afterwards and on site. Free entry for GM/IM/FM title holders.

Prizes: Sum of entry fees minus ACA dues of $10 per paid entry.
The winner receives a travel grant of up to $1000 towards a trip to the 2023 Canadian Seniors Championship. If the 2023 Canadian Senior’s Championship does not take place as expected, the winner may apply to the ACA board to use the grant for another tournament (within one year of winning the award).

Byes: A maximum of two half-point byes available in rounds 1-4 if requested before the start of round 1.
