Entry fee:<\/strong> $50.
$10 discount for juniors (2006 birth year or later) and female players.
$20 discount for FMs, NMs, CMs, and 2300-rated CFC players (supercedes any junior\/senior\/female discount).
GM\/IM title holders receive free entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CFC membership is required and may be purchased on-site. Annual membership is $43 for adults, $28 for juniors. CFC tournament membership is $20 for adults, $10 for juniors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration:<\/strong> Contact the organizer or fill out the form below. Payment must be made to the organizer in cash or by e-transfer to samuelthoekman@gmail.com by 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4th, when official registration closes. After that, entries will only be taken to make all sections consist of six players, or for replacements. A refund is available for withdrawals prior to the deadline.
Prizes:<\/strong> Entry fees less ACA dues of $10 per paid participant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Section formation:<\/strong> Players will be slotted into sections according to their rating. For Section A, CFC ratings on May 4th and FIDE ratings published on May 1st will be used. At the organizer’s discretion, sections B & C may be done using both CFC and FIDE ratings. Other sections, only CFC ratings on May 4th will be used. Unrated players will be assigned a rating of 1500 for sectioning purposes, unless the organizer decides otherwise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All sections will have 6 players, except possibly the lowest-rated section. If there are 4 players in the bottom section, then it will be a double-round-robin. If there are 5 players, it will be a round-robin with one bye. If there are 7, 8, or 9 in the bottom Section, then there will be Swiss pairings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If sections are full, pairings will come out on the evening of Monday, May 4th. Otherwise, pairings will be done on Thursday, May 7th,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
