Format:<\/strong> 6-player round robins. No byes allowed.<\/strong> CFC rated; the top three sections will also be FIDE rated. The organizer may choose to register other sections to be FIDE rated.
Time control: <\/strong>40 moves in 90 minutes, then game in 30 minutes, with a 30 second increment from move 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entry fee:<\/strong> $50.
$10 discount for juniors (2005 birth year or later), seniors (age 65 and over), and female players.
$20 discount for NMs, CMs, FMs, and 2300-rated CFC players (supercedes any junior\/senior\/female discount).
GM\/IM title holders receive free entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CFC membership is required and may be purchased on-site. Annual membership is $43 for adults, $28 for juniors. CFC tournament membership is $20 for adults, $10 for juniors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration:<\/strong> Contact the organizer or fill out the form below. Payment must be made to the organizer in cash or by e-transfer to zerg_gosu@hotmail.com by 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 20th, when official registration closes. After that, entries will only be taken to make all sections consist of six players, or for replacements. A refund is available for withdrawals prior to the deadline.
Prizes:<\/strong> Entry fees less ACA dues of $10 per paid participant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Section formation:<\/strong> Players will be slotted into sections according to their rating. For Section A, CFC ratings on October 20th and FIDE ratings published on October 1st will be used. For all other sections, only CFC ratings published on October 20th will be used. Unrated players will be assigned a rating of 1500 for sectioning purposes, unless the organizer decides otherwise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All sections will have 6 players, except possibly the lowest-rated section. If there are 4 players in the bottom section, then it will be a double-round-robin. If there are 5 players, it will be a round-robin with one bye. If there are 7, 8, or 9 in the bottom Section, then there will be Swiss pairings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If sections are full, pairings will come out on the evening of Monday, October 20. Otherwise, pairings will be done on Thursday, October 23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
