Start time: 11:00 a.m. Players must arrive and check in between 10:15 – 10:45 a.m. or they may not be paired in round one.
Format: By school grade (1-12). The exact format of each section will depend on the number of participants but players are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games. Chess ’n Math rated.
Time control: Game in 25 minutes with a 5-second delay for grades 3-12. Clocks may be added to grades 1 and 2 if necessary.
Entry fee: $30.
Registration: Fill out the form below. Payment will be made on-site with cash. The deadline for registration is Friday, March 6 @ 8:00 PM. Space is limited to 52 players.
Prizes: Section winners receive free entry to the Alberta Chess Challenge in Red Deer on April 11th. Medals will be awarded to top finishers in each grade.
