Tournament format: Depends on the number of entries. Alberta residents only. CFC & FIDE rated.
CFC membership is required and may be purchased on site. Annual membership is $43 for adults, $28 for juniors. CFC tournament membership is $20 for adults, $10 for juniors.
Time Control: Game in 90 minutes + 30 seconds/move.

Saturday
On-site registration: 9:15 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
Rounds 1-3: 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m.
Sunday
Rounds 4-5: 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. or ASAP
Default late time is 60 minutes. A 30-minute break between games is guaranteed.
Registration: Fill out the form below. Payment will be made on site by cash. Pre-registered players must arrive by 9:45 a.m. on Saturday or they won’t be paired.
Entry Fee: $50 if pre-registered by 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15. $60 after.
$15 discount for juniors (2006 birth year or later).
Free entry for WGM/WIM/WFM title holders.
Prizes: Sum of entry fees minus ACA dues of $10 per paid entry. The winner is eligible for a travel grant of up to $750 towards a trip to the 2027 Canadian Women’s Championship. If the 2027 Canadian Women’s Championship does not take place as expected, the winner may apply to the ACA board to use the grant for another tournament (within one year of winning the award).
Byes: A maximum of two half-point byes available in rounds 1-4 if requested before the start of round 1.
