CFC and Chess&#8217;N Math rated. Open to Alberta residents only.<br><strong><br>Time control:<\/strong>\u00a0Game in 25 minutes with a 5-second delay.<br><strong><br>Entry fee:\u00a0<\/strong>$30 if pre-registered online by Noon, Tuesday, March 19, $35 afterwards and on site. The entry fee includes a light lunch. Lunch will be guaranteed only to those players who will pre-register online by noon, Tuesday, March 19.<br>Last year&#8217;s winners will receive free entry.<strong><br><br>Registration<br><\/strong>Fill out the registration form on the right. Payment will be made on site by cash.\u00a0The deadline for online registration is Thursday, March 21, 2019 @ 10 PM.<strong><br><br>Approximate Schedule on March 23<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Registration: 10:15 am &#8211; 10:45 am<br>Rounds 1 and 2: 11 am &#8211; 1 pm&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>Lunch: 1 pm &#8211; 2 pm<br>Rounds 3 and 4: 2 pm &#8211; 4 pm<br>Tie-breaks (if necessary) and awards: immediately after the completion of the last round<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prizes in each section<\/strong><br>1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers will receive trophies.<br>Section winners will represent team Alberta at the 2019 Canadian Chess Challenge. The ACA will provide a $350 travel grant to help offset expenses for travel to Vancouver, British Columbia for&nbsp; the May 18-20 tournament. Travel reimbursement policies apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JUNIOR DRAW RULE<\/strong><br>In junior only events, the draw offer and acceptance is only allowed once both players have played 30 moves. For games without scoresheets, allowing the draw will be at the TD&#8217;s discretion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tie-break procedure<\/strong><br>a.
