Time Control:<\/strong>\u00a040 moves in 90 minutes, then game in 30 minutes with a 30 second increment from move 1
Entry Fee:<\/strong>\u00a0$35. Free entry for GM\/IM\/WGM\/WIM title holders.

Full refund is available if requested before December 30.<\/strong>
CFC membership is required and can be purchased on site. Annual membership is $43 for adults, $28 for juniors. CFC tournament membership $21 for adults, $11 for juniors.

In Calgary, you may pay Stefan Sklenka directly at the Calgary Chess Club. For other payment options, please email Steve at sdsklenka@icloud.com
No on site registration. You must pay to register. Payment must be received by 8PM, Wednesday, January 2, when the official registration closes. After that entries will only be allowed to make all sections consisting of six players or for replacements.

If all the sections are full, pairings will come out on the evening of Wednesday, January 2<\/strong>. Otherwise, pairings will be done on Thursday,\u00a0January 3<\/strong>.

Round 1: Friday, January 4: 7 PM
Round 2: Saturday, January 5: 10 AM
Round 3: Saturday, January 5: 3 PM
Round 4: Sunday, January 6: 10 AM
Round 5: Sunday, January 6: 3 PM

Prizes:<\/strong>\u00a0100% of entries minus ACA dues of $5 per paid participant.

Section formation:<\/strong>\u00a0Players will be slotted into sections according to their rating.For Section A, CFC ratings published on December 27 and FIDE ratings published on December 1st will be used; the higher of the two will be assigned to each player to form the section.\u00a0 For all other sections, only CFC ratings published on December 27 will be used. Unrated players will be assigned a rating of 1500for sectioning purposes, unless the organizer decides otherwise.
