Qualifier for the 2019 Alberta Closed. <\/strong>Players from all over are welcome – not just the South!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Format:<\/strong>\u00a05-round Swiss, CFC & FIDE rated
Time control:\u00a0<\/strong>Game in 90 minutes with a 30-second increment from move 1
Round times:<\/strong>\u00a0Saturday – 10 am, 2 pm, 6 pm; Sunday – 10 am, 2 pm or ASAP.\u00a0A 30-minute break between games is guaranteed. Default late time is 60 minutes.
Entry fee:<\/strong>\u00a0$30 if pre-registered online before noon, Friday, November 23. $35 on-site. $5 discount for juniors (age 20 and under). GM\/WGM\/IM\/WIM\/FM title holders receive free entry. CFC membership is required and may be purchased on-site.Annual membership is $43 for adults, $28 for juniors. A single CFC tournament membership is $21 for adults, $11 for juniors.

Prizes: The winner (if an Albertan) qualifies for the 2019 Alberta Closed.\u00a0<\/strong>All entry fees go to the prize fund except for ACA dues of $5 per paid participant.
Byes:\u00a0<\/strong>A maximum of two\u00a0\u00bd-point byes available in rounds 1-4 if requested before the start of round 1.
