Eligibility:\u00a0<\/strong>Alberta residents who will have reached the age of 50 by December 31, 2018

Tournament format:<\/strong>\u00a05-round Swiss,\u00a0CFC & FIDE rated.<\/strong>
CFC membership is required and may be purchased onsite. Annual membership is $43; tournament membership is $21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time Control:<\/strong> Game in 90 minutes + 30 seconds\/move<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schedule
<\/strong>Saturday
On-site registration: 9:15 am – 9:45 am
Rounds 1-3: 10 am, 2 pm, 6 pm
Sunday
Rounds 4-5: 10 am, 2 pm or ASAP
Default late time is 60 minutes. A 30-minute break between games is guaranteed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration:<\/strong> Fill out the form above. Payment will be made on site by either cash or cheque made out to Alberta Chess Association. Pre-registered players must come by 9:45 am on Saturday, or they won’t be paired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entry Fee:<\/strong> $25 if registered online before noon, Friday, May 11, $30 on site. Free entry for GM\/IM\/FM title holders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prizes:<\/strong> Sum of entry fees minus ACA dues of $5 per player. The winner receives a travel grant of up to $300 to attend the 2018 Canadian Seniors Championship (Calgary, August 3-6, 2018).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
