Tournament format:<\/strong>\u00a04-round Open Swiss, CFC rated.
CFC membership is required and may be purchased on site. Annual membership is $43, tournament membership is $21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time Control:<\/strong> Game in 90 minutes + 30 seconds\/move<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schedule
<\/strong>Saturday, March 17 
Rounds 1, 2: 12 PM, 4 PM
Sunday, March 18
Rounds 3, 4: 12 PM, 4 PM or ASAP<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Default late time is 60 minutes. A 30-minute break between games is guaranteed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entry Fee:<\/strong> $10<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prizes:<\/strong> Sum of entry fees. The winner, if Albertan, receives a travel grant of up to $300 towards a trip to either the 2018 Alberta Seniors Championship (Calgary, May 12-13) or the 2018 Canadian Seniors Championship (Calgary, August 3-6).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Byes:<\/strong> A maximum of two \u00bd point byes available in rounds 1-3 if requested before the start of round 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
