Dividing line: Red Deer river or 52 16\u201905\u201d elsewhere in the province. Each player plays two rounds against the same opponent, one game with white, the other with black.&nbsp;Drawing of lots for colours will be done immediately before round 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tournament Arbiter<\/strong>: TBD<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Captain of Team South is Vlad Rekhson\/Angelo Tolentino: vrekhson@yahoo.ca; (403) 970-8032; avelangelotolentino@yahoo.com<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Captain of Team North is Cristian Ivanescu: cristian.ivanescu@yahoo.ca<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The winning team gets the Junior Battle of Alberta trophy. In the event of a 12-12 tie, the defending champion South will keep the trophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each team will be made of twelve players. All players must be Under-18 (born after January 1, 2001). Five players must be Under-12 (born after January 1, 2007). Each team must include at least two girls. Players will be paired by rating within their section (U-18, U-12, Girls), with the captain determining who is in each section&nbsp; if a player qualifies to more than one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tiebreak: TBD<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CFC &amp; FIDE rated<\/strong><br>CFC membership is not required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Time control:<\/strong>&nbsp;Game in 90 minutes with a 30-second increment<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Round times:<\/strong>&nbsp;11:30 am and 3:30 pm. The Arbiter at his discretion may postpone the start by up to half an hour if many of the players from one team are not available at the start for a good reason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Default late time:&nbsp;<\/strong>60 minutes unless the Arbiter decides otherwise.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Final roster\/board order announcements must be made by&nbsp;<strong>noon, Wednesday, September 25.&nbsp;<\/strong> Players\u2019 ratings will be determined by the CFC\/FIDE rating lists published on&nbsp;<strong>September 18<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the official roster announcement, replacements must be lower rated than the players they are replacing, and replace them on the same board. Replacements after the first game will only be allowed in case of an emergency.
