Grades 1-4: Tournament starts at 10:30 a.m. (check in 10:00 – 10:20)
Grades 5-12: Tournament starts at 1:30 p.m. (check in 1:00 – 1:20)
Venue: The Edmonton Chess Club, 10840 124 St., Edmonton, AB
Organizers and Tournament Directors: David Ludwig, Michael Ludwig, David Yao
Sections: By grade (1-12).
Format: The exact format of each section will depend on the number of participants but players are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games. Chess ’N Math rated.
Time control: Game in 25 minutes with a 5-second delay for grades 3-12. Clocks may be added to grades 1 and 2 if necessary.
Entry fee: $10.
Registration: Send an e-mail with the player’s name, grade, and school to davidludwigCA@gmail.com. Payment by e-transfer is preferred, but if necessary may be made on site with cash. The deadline for registration is Friday, March 13, 2020 @ 8:00 PM.
Prizes: Medals will be awarded to top finishers in each grade.
